Stacking: Stacked piercings are piercings arranged vertically, typically close together to give them a “cozy” look. They can be very versatile once healed- stacked lobes especially!
Vertical Helix: This piercing has been quite popular in our studio lately, and they’re super cute! They are an anatomy dependent piercing with a lot of great jewelry options to achieve different aesthetics. This piercing goes through the ridge of cartilage on top of the ear and has also been called a floating helix, or chandelier piercing.
Orbitals: An orbital is two healed piercings with one piece of jewelry going through them, usually in a ring shape! This jewelry choice is usually done most comfortably in the ear. Some people use decorative rings or attach charms for a more custom aesthetic.

Why Minimalist Piercings Are Big In 2024
Simple Style: We love a subtle, delicate jewelry choice. It can be a great option for healing! Smaller jewelry is a very good choice for people who like a clean, fresh aesthetic, which is very popular right now. Smaller jewelry can also be more appealing for people with a more corporate work environment, which may not allow obvious piercings.
Convenience: Jewelry with a lower profile tends to be less likely to get caught on hair or clothing. We find subtle, delicate jewelry choices to be increasingly popular for all piercing placements.

High Nostril Piercings: High nostril piercings are placed above the area you would put a traditional nostril, and are also anatomy dependent! They do take about a year to heal, and a close relationship with your piercer, as they are a little bit sensitive and can be prone to inflammation in the initial healing stages. When they’re healed, you can wear small, dainty jewelry or larger statement jewelry! Some people wear a chain between paired high nostrils, which is a fun way to customize the piercings.

Navel Piercings: Navel piercings are another anatomy dependent piercing that can be done in different ways! This piercing can take about 9 months to a year to heal on average. We recommend getting this piercing done during the winter time, so that it's fully healed by the summertime, and you can show it off, and go swimming safely! There are tons of different gem cuts and shapes available for healed navel piercings- including dangles!
Dermal Piercings: Dermal piercings are an increasingly popular piercing. They’re a fun way to add a little extra sparkle anywhere! Dermal piercings sit best on the face and chest, where they are less likely to be caught or snagged on accident. We consider dermals temporary piercings. If the piercing is subjected to trauma or too much pressure or irritation, the body can decide to become inflamed and push it out. It is important to have a good relationship and open communication with your piercer so that they can advise you on what to do, and assist you in safe removal if necessary.
